I don't know why, but that intro heavily reminds me of Mass Effect. It has the futuristic feel to it. It kinda gets detuned in the buildup, but that adds slightly to its charm. This is a very complex sound. I love how bouncy this is. The wubs that sound like scratches aren't really loud enough and they sound kind of out of place so I deducted a star. Everything else is magnificent, great work.

DjAbbic responds:

Yeah, it probably sounds that way due to the atmospheric stuff I added to it (reverb and whatnot), but now that you mention it, I can picture this with ME.

And you're right. Those wubs aren't that great now that I listen to them closer. I'll work on that in the future.

Thanks a lot for the honest review, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I feel like you just used an arp and looped it. It's too simple to really be much of anything, although it is incredibly catchy as a loop. It'll do good for a menu loop or something. Very useful track.

Hookshots responds:

Close but I did an incredible amount of layering for the bass and the arp sound is not an actual arp but the trance gate, the notes itself is a chord being looped. I thought I used an arp after u stated the fact so I checked and none were used; the preset is something from nexus (category: Gated Pads - TG Sequence 1) which I had to use 2 of and turned off some of the FX inside the actual VST and route the same type of preset for both into a seperate mixer channel and do a lot of fooling around with as well as compression so it didn't sound rough.

There are more parts to this sound but I only uploaded this particular one b/c I liked it, I might release more at a later time but it will most likely appear later on this site. www.soundcloud.com/thermalrain

The Vocals are mighty exciting. I also love the chords in the back. The bass wobbles just come in too early, when they drop into it, it's an extremely exciting beat, it should be louder though, I feel like it should be out in the front. Beautiful chords throughout the song, the vocal pad is heavy. I like the song overall, but the drop could use work

joemamabeach responds:

Thank you! I'll be honest, this was more thrown together than anything else so it's not as polished but as long as it's still likeable then I'm happy =) Plus, it's free music! =P

The intro is very mysterious. I was grabbed in from the start from that melody. Plus, also violins make everything better. When that liquid sounding bass comes in backed up by even more bass, i just realized this sound is meant to be taken very seriously. A very professional sound

Techtonicks responds:

Thank you for this review! :D im glad to think someone thinks it sounds professional! and yes its meant to be taken seriously, i try to make my music in a way that invokes a series of emotions that kind of tells the story that the words in a song would normally do. it can be difficult, although i like what i seem to have captured here

The vocals are really hard to hear. It's shrouded out by the instrumental, which could definately use some work. The rap itself is actually really good, just the beats could use some work. Very nice

blackmage312 responds:

I actually don't know how to mix the instrumental and my voice together well, like, I can't seem to find the balance, or level it out. I'm still trying to figure out the voice recording aspect of it all. Trying! :D

Thank you by the way, well appreciated

Really upbeat and I love the melody. It has a really hardcore sound. Hit me up when it's done I totally want to hear more of this

Genraltweet responds:

Sweet, thanks! Yeah, I just made this in like, 20 minutes, so there's not much to it yet. But I'm glad with what I have so far :D

This is classic beauty. I cannot wait for the finished product.

Please keep me updated on when the final product releases.
